RYCOTE AT IBC

UK Manufacturer To Introduce New Products & New InVision Systems In Amsterdam

Stroud, UK, August 2008: From the 12th to the 16th of September this year, UK manufacturer Rycote will be returning to the RAI Centre in Amsterdam for the European broadcast community’s most important trade exhibition, the IBC show. Rycote staff will be giving IBC attendees the opportunity to see their range of windshields and microphone suspension systems, including the InVision range of noise-reducing suspension systems launched earlier this year.

New Products For IBC

Two new InVision models will make their debut at IBC 2008: INV-9 and INV-10. With a 30mm Lyre support clip at the front of its support assembly and a 19-25mm clip at the back, INV-9 is designed to hold mics such as Shure's SM57 and SM58, as well as the Neumann KMS105. INV-10 is designed specifically for Sennheiser's popular MKH range of mics, with two specially designed flat-sided clips (to accommodate the flat-edged mic barrel of the MKH range) on a 70mm support bar.

The IBC show will also see the introduction of the innovative Lyre suspension clips used in the InVision range into many other Rycote products, including the company's award-winning Modular Suspension System. "The Lyre design has now proved itself in the successful S-series suspension, launched last year, and the recently introduced InVision range," comments Rycote's Technical Director Simon Davies. "It provides a more efficient means of acoustically isolating microphones from unwanted vibrations and noise than our older designs based on O-rings, and so we're introducing Lyres into our other suspension systems from September — you'll be able to see examples on our stand at the show. We'll also have one or two other new products ready in time for IBC — but you'll have to come to see us at our stand to find out about those!"

For more information, come to stand F39 in Hall 10, where Rycote will be situated throughout IBC.
