KELLY JOINS MOJAVE AUDIO

Burbank, CA… Mojave Audio, a company founded by David Royer (known for his work with ribbon microphones) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cathy Kelly to the newly-created position of VP of Sales & Marketing. Kelly will be based in Nashville, TN. Her presence in this high profile music city is expected to dramatically increase Mojave Audio’s visibility among the area’s numerous studios and recording professionals. Her appointment takes effect October 1, 2008.

In her new position, Kelly will be responsible for all domestic and international sales of Mojave Audio’s product line. Similarly, she will assume a key role in further developing the company’s authorized dealer and distributor network, work to increase consumer awareness of the Mojave brand, create long-term strategies for company growth, as well as foster client relationships and oversee the company’s artist development program.

Kelly is well-known among the professional audio community. She is best recognized for her work with Ultrasone of America. During her time with Ultrasone, she increased the company’s stature dramatically and made Ultrasone a key line of headphones enthusiastically used and endorsed by many of the leading recording and live sound engineers in pro audio. Her industry relationships, business acumen, leadership skills, and vision are a perfect match for her new responsibilities with Mojave Audio.

“I’m really looking forward to getting started,” notes Kelly. “In the few short years since its formation, Mojave Audio has come to be recognized as one of the top new microphone lines. I’ll still be working with transducers—but at the opposite end of the signal chain! Mojave Audio has a very high quality product line and I’m confident our microphones will be warmly received as we work to increase their visibility in the music and sound markets. I believe there’s tremendous potential for this company.”

Dusty Wakeman, President of Mojave Audio, is equally enthusiastic about Kelly’s arrival. “Everyone here at Mojave is really optimistic about Cathy’s new position with the company,” says Wakeman. “Cathy is a proven leader who knows this business and has the skills to help us reach the next level in our development. With far reaching industry relationships and a strong presence in Nashville—a crucial market for any audio company—I’m confident she’ll make a significant contribution to our efforts.”
