Riedel: Award winning technology – Emmy and Mario Award for Riedel

Riedel Communications, a leading manufacturer and provider of intercom, fiber and radio solutions, has received two of the most prestigious awards in the broadcast industry. Shortly after the launch of the revolutionary fiber network solution MediorNet at this year’s NAB in Las Vegas, the company was recognized with an Emmy and a TV Technology Mario Award.

As part of the RedBull AirRace World Championship Riedel received a prestigous Sports Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science at the 30th Annual Sports Emmy Awards in New York. The Red Bull Air Race World Championship program, which is broadcast in the U.S.A. on Fox Sports Network (FSN), won in the category “Outstanding Technical Team Remote” which recognizes the technical portion of sports programs in remote venues. The programs for FSN is produced by the American company G.R.A.C.E Productions together with the Austrian based production company West4Media as well as Riedel Communications, SiVision and Sky Media. The Emmy Awards are regarded as the Oscars’ equivalent for sports television. Riedel Communications is responsible for wireless video transmission of the onboard cameras and for providing the intercom and signal distribution for broadcast and onsite-installations.

Just one day after the worldwide product launch, MediorNet already received its award. The Mario Award from TV Technology recognizes companies that represent significant technological breakthroughs. The Awards are given out annually at the NAB show in Las Vegas to companies that demonstrate forward thinking and technical excellence in their products.
