Innovations include DVI-6000 DVI Fiber Optic Link and LiGHTBoX 3Gb/s Transport Solution
LOCUST VALLEY, NY – MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems, a leading provider of fiber optics for the transport of video and audio for broadcast & pro A/V applications, will unveil the latest advancements in fiber optic transport technology at the Government Video Technology Expo 2008 (GV Expo) being held December 3-4, 2008 in Washington, DC (Booth #615).
“MultiDyne will introduce the DVI-6000, a high-performance transport solution for high-quality DVI, VGA and component signals over one fiber,” said Bob McAlpine, vice president of global sales and business development. “We have also taken our affordable, future-proof fiber transport solutions and packaged them in the LiGHTBoX, an award-winning field-portable system for applications where battery-powered equipment is required.”
At GV Expo, MultiDyne will showcase multiple fiber transport solutions including:
DVI-6000 DVI, VGA & Component, Single & Dual Link Fiber Transport
MultiDyne introduces the DVI-6000 Single & Dual Link, a long-haul fiber optic transport solution for high-quality RGB-HV and DVI-D with a DVI-I interface. Ideal for keeping video and audio communications secure in Command and Control facilities, the DVI-6000 supports WQXGA, 2560x1600 resolution with dual link over a single fiber, and has optional stereo audio and bi-directional data for monitor control. The DVI-6000 transports a pixel-for-pixel image that is 100% transparent with no frame dropping up to WUXGA, 1920x1200, and enables 100% 24-bits for all scan rates with no contouring or bit reduction at a high scan rate.
LiGHTBoX Fiber Optic Field Transport System
MultiDyne’s award-winning LiGHTBoX fiber optic field transport system is designed for field portability, and a range of signal functionality in harsh environments and outdoor events. Ideal for ENG, sports and military applications, the LiGHTBoX and the MultiCore LiGHTBoX, can be linked via a tactical fiber cable to another LiGHTBoX or associated rack-mounted equipment. The LiGHTBoX is fully customizable, offering virtually any signal transport. Choose your fiber connectivity – Neutrik, Tyco Expanded Beam, ST, LC, SC, etc. and get the configuration you want, not the configuration in stock. The standard LiGHTBoX features two HD-SDI (1.5Gb or 3Gb), one bi-directional NTSC/PAL video, up to eight bi-directional 24-bit audio option and two intercom headset connections, Ethernet and data channels, and AC operation with battery back-up in an extremely rugged case. The MultiCore LiGHTBoX has connectivity for JVC, Hitachi and SONY cameras.
HD-3000 3Gb/s Fiber Optic Transport Link
MultiDyne introduces the HD-3000 Series 3Gb/s Serial Digital Video Fiber Optic Transport Link, which supports the new 1080p progressive 3Gb/s HD-SDI SMPTE424M format. Designed to ease the engineering and financial difficulties associated with the migration to digital and high-definition television, the HD-3000 provides an economical solution for the fiber optic transport and distribution of virtually any digital signal from 5Mb/s to 3Gb/s, future-proofing system designs and infrastructure to support 1080p.
