IKEGAMI ANNOUNCES DEALER AGREEMENT WITH LITTLE BAY BROADCAST SERVICES

MAYWOOD, NEW JERSEY, August 4, 2008 – With a wide variety of leading corporations, entertainment venues, and technology companies as its clients, Madbury NH-based Little Bay Broadcast Services has time and again demonstrated its extensive knowledge and expertise in leading-edge television technologies since it opened its doors in 2005. Now, this accomplished equipment dealer and designer, integrator, and project manager of video facilities and mobile production systems is expanding its services to the industry with a recently signed dealer agreement with Ikegami.

“The one name in the broadcast industry that we have known from day one as always excelling has been Ikegami,” said Brian Raynes, Director of Little Bay. “They stand behind their products with their tech support and sales group to provide help before we buy a camera, while we’re buying the camera, and for years after we own the camera. That’s the true test of a company, and it’s the reason we wanted to form this partnership with Ikegami. This is a new step that will help bring Little Bay to the next level.”

Little Bay’s recent addition of salesman Brad Reed—who has been involved in Ikegami equipment sales for nearly 20 years—further strengthened Little Bay’s desire to work closely with Ikegami.

As part of the agreement, Little Bay’s inventory will include a wide range of Ikegami products, including its acclaimed line of Multi-Format LCD HD video monitors, CRT monitors, and Ikegami’s industry-leading HD cameras, ranging from small, box-style models to the latest in studio, field, and ENG cameras. These products will include Ikegami’s revolutionary new GFSERIES tapeless HD ENG camcorder (the HDS-V10), the GFSTATION studio deck (the GFS-V10), and accompanying GFPAK Flash Memory Pack (in 16, 32, and 64 GB capacities).

Also included in the Ikegami products sold by Little Bay will be portable, studio, and one-piece cameras featuring Ikegami’s revolutionary CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) imaging devices, which provide exceptional, multi-format HDTV performance, reduced power consumption, reduced heat, and—in the case of Ikegami’s new HDK-79EC HD CMOS Camera System—high-speed imaging capabilities. The new Ikegami HDK-79EC provides a full 16:9 aspect ratio and operation in 1080/60i, 1080/24p, and 720/60p HD. Optional 50Hz formats 1080/50i and 720/50p, high-speed dual-link 1080/60p, and (for Super Slow Motion), 720/120i are also available. The HDK-79EC is configurable for hand-held use or “hard” field-camera operation using the Ikegami SE-79D System Expander, which includes a 9-inch 16:9 color LCD viewfinder (with wide viewing angle and low lag) and an interface with HD telephoto zoom lenses. The camera also features docking-style construction, allowing easy interchange between triax and fiber adapters to meet the cable requirements of different clients and different venues.

Additional Ikegami CMOS cameras include the HDL-50 Series Compact One-Piece POV model for capture of native Multi-Format HDTV video in inaccessible locations, and the full-featured HDN-X10 EditcamHD Tapeless Camcorder for episodic television production and digital cinematography.

“Ikegami is continuing to push the limits of the equipment that they sell, and that helps to make them an industry leader,” Raynes states. “They are pushing forward by continuing to enhance the systems that they have with additions such as CMOS, and are pushing their counterparts to keep up with the pace they set. We are proud to be a witness as Ikegami helps write the next chapter of broadcast technology history.”
