FROZEN AUDIO R&D BUDGETS SET TO THAW WITH AP LEASE PROGRAM

New Leasing Option Allows Engineers On Any Budget To Work With AP Analyzers

Beaverton, Oregon, March 2nd, 2009: Audio Precision, the recognized standard in audio test and measurement, today announced a new lease program for its audio analyzers. The program is being introduced in the USA, and will be rolled out to other countries later in the year, based on demand.

Leasing allows companies to pay for their audio test gear such as the 2700 Series high performance audio analyzer or the multichannel APx585 HDMI audio analyzer with HDMI with small monthly payments rather than one capital expenditure. No down payment is required and the first payment is due 30 days after receipt of the instrument. There are no penalties for early buyout, and flexible payment options are available. Depending on the type of lease, the instrument can be bought for one dollar at the end of the term.

Leasing is ideal for startup companies that need test gear to get to market and established companies that want to keep engineers equipped with the latest technology, but may wish to conserve capital. Leasing through Audio Precision preserves existing lines of credit and offers better fixed rates than traditional bank loans. There are no restrictive covenants and no cross collateralization with other company assets.

“Audio Precision is the recognized standard in audio test because our instruments are the best in the industry,” says Tom Williams, Audio Precision’s Director of Marketing. “Leasing allows companies on any budget to get to work quickly and easily without having to choose between performance and cash flow.”

Tax & Accounting Benefits

AP leases are structured to allow maximum tax benefit. Depending on the type of lease, all lease payments can be deducted as direct operating expenses rather than as a capital investment. Leasing also allows the instrument’s value to be depreciated faster, reducing taxes over the term of the lease. Customers should consult with their tax advisor for the best option.

The application is a simple one-page document, and a lease offer is usually made within 2-4 hours.
