CLEAR-COM® EXPANDS ITS GLOBAL PRESENCE WITH NEW SCANDINAVIAN DISTRIBUTORS

CAMBRIDGE, UK, JULY 16, 2008—Clear-Com® Communication Systems, a brand of The Vitec Group and global leader of professional communication solutions for broadcast, live performance, military, government and commercial markets, continues to expand its international reach by selecting Danmon and Soundware as its new distributors for the Scandinavian market. Clear-Com’s move to broaden its scope within Scandinavia will now extend well beyond Norway, where the company has already been making inroads. Through Danmon’s and Soundware’s efforts, targeting broadcast and the live/industrial markets respectively, Clear-Com will increase its customer base to include Sweden and Denmark.

“Clear-Com is a highly respected, internationally recognised brand that provides a number of communication solutions for many segments of the market,” says Karin Liiw, Marketing Manager/Sales, Soundware Sweden. “As Scandinavia’s broadcast, live performance and production needs continue to grow, we will be able to provide our customers with products that fit many of these developing applications.”

Danmon and Soundware are owned by the same Danish company, Dan Technologies A/S, with the Danmon companies mainly focusing on video/broadcast while the Soundware companies target the audio/live performance business. “As one of our strategic goals, we remain committed to continually improving our distribution globally,” explains Karlie Miles, Director of EMEA Sales for Clear-Com. “Danmon and Soundware have earned impressive reputations as leading distributors in Scandinavia, both well-established in their respective markets. We are confident that by working with these two companies, we will see our solutions become more widely available,” she adds.

“We couldn’t be more excited to help extend the distribution of Clear-Com products to both Sweden and Denmark, in addition to Norway,” adds Leif Nydahl, Product Manager for Intercom Solutions within the Danmon Group, Scandinavia. “The company’s products are a natural fit for Danmon, as they will undoubtedly also be for Scandinavia’s broadcast and live/industrial markets. We welcome this opportunity to better serve our customers’ needs with such outstanding, professional communications solutions from Clear-Com.”

Danmon and Soundware stand out as two of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of audio, video and transmission equipment and systems solutions, both with offices in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The products supplied cover a wide spectrum, ranging from stand-alone units and complete TV and radio stations, over studios to large mobile broadcast vehicles and transmission equipment for both video and audio. The Danmon Group of companies all focus on the professional video, transmission and systems segments and offer a high level in sales and technical support. Soundware focuses mainly on pro audio with professional audio products for the theatre and live markets, film and video, as well as post production and broadcast.
