The Michigan Association of Broadcasters is hosting a statewide DTV preparedness training Thursday (Oct. 23) at p.m. at various Michigan National Guard Facilities.

The Guard is furnishing facilities and its video teleconferencing facilities. In all, the conference will take place at 18 armories around the state.

The training will focus on educating people on how to install and operate digital converter boxes and will address antenna issues.

More information is available at the MAB Web site.

The DTV preparedness training will be open to the public and is free of charge. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and a valid photo ID is required to enter. The events will include question-and-answer sessions.
