ROYER LABS ANNOUNCES NEW DEMONSTRATION CD

Burbank, CA… Royer Labs, recognized globally as a leading manufacturer of high quality ribbon microphones, is pleased to announce the release of the company’s new microphone demonstration CD. Titled Inside the Mix, the new CD, which is available free(minus shipping charges) to prospective customers, offers detailed examples of both Royer’s studio and Live Series microphones used in a wide variety of musical applications.

Inside the Mix is unique in that it enables one to hear the finished, fully mastered tracks of many of today’s best-known recordings and then offers a more detailed perspective on ribbon microphones by isolating the individual tracks that were recorded on Royer microphones. In doing so, prospective customers can hear—with unprecedented detail—the soloed track with the individual instrument as it was originally recorded.

Royer’s new demonstration CD contains a broad assortment of musical examples from an equally wide range of musical styles. Inside the Mix includes performances by jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, singer/songwriter/guitarist Brian Setzer, the rock band Matchbox Twenty, and Allen Toussaint—one of the most influential figures in New Orleans R&B. Additionally, numerous leading engineers/producers contributed tracks to Inside the Mix, including nineteen-time Grammy Award winning recording engineer and record producer Al Schmitt, five time Grammy winning engineer Bruce Swedien, well-known Los Angeles-based film scoring engineer/mixer Alan Meyerson, and multiple Grammy Award winning music producer Ross Hogarth.

John Jennings, Royer’s VP of Sales and Marketing, commented on the company’s new demonstration CD. “Short of actually being in the studio or at the FOH mix position on tour,” said Jennings, “Inside the Mix presents both our studio microphones and our recently introduced Live Series microphones in a way that enables prospective customers to obtain a first-hand listening experience for critical evaluation. This new CD features our entire microphone line in a diverse range of musical applications and, most importantly, presents the track both isolated and in context to the finished recording.”

“Examples include miked guitar cabinets and trumpet solos that demonstrate our microphones’ ability to withstand high SPLs, examples of orchestral strings and woodwinds, use of the mics as drum overheads, and numerous additional applications,” continued Jennings. “This is the perfect means of showing how our ribbon microphones complement today’s digital recordings and how they can enhance an act’s sound when performing live. I’m confident this new CD will give many recording professionals a fresh perspective on the capabilities of ribbon microphones.”

Royer’s new CD, Inside the Mix, is available complimentary by either making a request on the company’s website (www.royerlabs.com) or by calling Royer Labs at (818) 847-0121.
