StreamScope™ MT-40LCP Analyzer

At the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® '09, Triveni Digital will showcase the new StreamScope™ MT-40LCP, a low-cost version of the company's award-winning StreamScope MT-40 analyzer, a comprehensive, user-friendly solution for real-time analysis and verification of DTV transport streams. The MT-40LCP facilitates end-to-end MPEG-2/MPEG-4 transport stream monitoring and analysis for DTV signals carried by cable, telco, broadcast, satellite, IPTV, or mobile networks. The low-cost model of the MT-40 features two PCI card slots that enable broadcasters to select two input types best suited for their operation. In addition to the lower cost, the product also features a significantly reduced size and weight, as well as an optional battery-equipped unit, offering ultimate flexibility for field use.

The MT-40LCP supports options for RF, SMPTE 310, ASI, QPSK, and file inputs, as well as Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) for non-real-time PCR analyses. With in-depth troubleshooting and analysis capabilities for multiple signals over all commonly encountered physical layers including deep packet inspection, the MT-40LCP can monitor, alarm, troubleshoot, record, and measure DTV transport streams to ensure their integrity, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

In addition to Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support to enable alarms, the MT-40LCP features remote monitoring with full-featured connectivity to remote users; electronic program guide (EPG) display; unique, value-added Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP) and PSI cross-table consistency checking; SD or HD video thumbnails; closed captioning; IP route analysis; and IGMPv3 for IP multicast support. The MT-40LCP also interfaces with Triveni Digital's RM-40 unattended remote monitoring system to provide a meaningful picture of DTV transport streams across a network.

StreamScope™ RM-40SE MPEG Video Monitoring Solution

Also at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo®, Triveni Digital will showcase the StreamScope™ RM-40SE, a low-cost monitoring probe that can be located at the edge network for continuous, real-time monitoring of the video signal. This video monitoring solution makes it easy and inexpensive for operators to ensure continuous service and rapidly debug issues as they arise. The RM-40SE is a full-featured, in-depth, 24/7 unattended remote monitoring instrument that performs comprehensive MPEG video monitoring for real-time video streams and offers all the analysis functionality of the RM-40 base and High Bandwidth Edition (HBE). The RM-40 comes with two options — either RF/QAM or ASI input.

The RM-40SE remotely monitors, measures, and records DTV streams to ensure their integrity, reliability, and compliance with standards. The optional Remote Troubleshooting Module (RTm) provides remote analysis capabilities, including a unique postmortem analysis feature that allows users to analyze/debug issues up to two weeks in the past. Used in conjunction with Triveni Digital's MT-40 end-to-end MPEG-2/MPEG-4 transport stream monitoring and analysis system in a distributed network architecture, the RM-40SE also enables stream comparison across the network.
