SOS VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS MAKES THE CONNECTION WITH WIREWORKS WIRELUX CABLES

~ MusiLUX and SpeakerLUX Cables Prevalent Throughout Video Post Facility~

HILLSIDE, NJ – SOS Video Communications is now totally wired! A Columbus, Ohio-based video post facility known for its regional commercial and corporate projects, SOS Video Communications turned to Wireworks Corporation, the leading innovator of audio/video cabling systems, for the company’s best-selling MusiLUX and SpeakerLUX products that are being utilized throughout SOS’ facility.

SOS Video Communications’ full breadth of services includes account, creative and production for a wide range of video post production projects (such as commercial spots for Heinz, DSW and Victoria’s Secret). The studio, which features three Avid video editing suites, an audio suite, a small sound stage, a motion/graphics area, a digital media area and a conferencing room, is nearly completely wired with Wireworks cables. SpeakerLUX, for instance, is present throughout the company’s conferencing room, which is used for surround sound client meetings and presentations, while MusiLUX is used within the company’s audio and video editing suites. MusiLUX cabling is also the primary microphone cable for off-site location shoots.

“I am a loyal user of Wireworks MusiLUX and SpeakerLUX cables, which is why I specifically requested them for our facility” says Michael VanderDoes, VP of technical services at SOS. “The MusiLUX cables work great when on location because of the cables unrivaled flexibility - they don’t kink and have no cable memory.”

MusiLUX and SpeakerLUX are part of Wireworks award-winning WireLUX family of flexible audio cables, which also includes InstaLUX, a color-coded installation cable that is available in 10 colors; StudiLUX, a fast-strip multi-channel interconnect cable and UltraLUX, a multi-pair oxygen free studio cable.

MusiLUX is the ultimate in sonic excellence and microphone cable flexibility. It is constructed of one 22-gauge pair, a bare copper drain wire and features a 100% coverage conductive thermoplastic shield. The ultra-flexible PVC satin finish outer jacket is available in black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey and white.

MusiLUX features Wireworks “one second strip” which makes for easy preparation, eliminating the time consuming task involved in terminating cables with braided shields and cotton fillers. MusiLUX’s 10 colors can be used for easy signal identification, as a way to show corporate colors or to blend/match décor. MusiLUX is conveniently packaged in a 500 ft. “spool-in-a-box” for easy storage and convenient cable unreeling.

SpeakerLUX is a super-flexible loudspeaker cable with 49 strand 13-gauge conductors, available in two, four, six and eight channels. Featuring a UFPV black satin finish and a pressure extruded jacket, SpeakerLUX produces a lay-flat cable and eliminates the need for inconvenient plastic or string fillers. SpeakerLUX makes the termination process easy without having to worry about loosing strands while the jacket is being stripped.

Color-coded insulation makes identification easy. If additional copper is necessary for high-powered low-frequency systems, doubling up on conductors solves the problem. The tough but flexible jacket is pressure filled, eliminating the need for fillers, and stabilizes the conductors.

All WireLUX products provide superior sound quality with maximum cable flexibility to AV and communications professionals by offering several variations of cables for specific uses. Each cable has been designed and manufactured for an individual need, while the entire line shares the same high-quality workmanship and dependability for which Wireworks products are known for.
