New Pavilions Coming to 2009 NAB Show

New pavilions and exhibitors showcasing the latest developments in 3D, mobile solutions and IPTV are coming to the 2009 NAB Show (April 18-23 in Las Vegas).

The new pavilions at the NAB Show include:

•The Content Commerce Pavilion, located within Content Central, the area dedicated to the production, distribution and business of content. The pavilion will facilitate business-to-business information sharing, explore opportunities and examine new business models for distributing content over next-generation platforms.

•The Mobile Solutions Pavilion, produced in partnership with Mobile Entertainment Forum and will showcase the latest in mobile technologies including standards, handsets and advertising applications.

•The 3D Pavilion includes the latest in stereoscopic and auto stereoscopic technologies. This area will feature 3D software tools for content professionals looking to create cutting-edge 3D footage. Participating first time exhibitors include Phillips 3D Solutions and 3ality Digital.

•The NHK Pavilion will include a super hi-vision theater and an integral 3D television system, a new development in 3D technology that reproduces the 3D effect in HDTV without being sensitive to viewer position. Japan's terrestrial digital broadcasting system, ISDB-T, will also be displayed at the pavilion, featuring an innovative application that shows how mobile DTV services can be utilized for emergency warning systems.

Pavilions returning this year include the IPTV Pavilion and an array of international pavilions including representatives from France, Bavaria, Belgium, Brazil, India, the United Kingdom and Italy.

More than 1,600 exhibitors are expected at the 2009 NAB Show.
