Masstech Group Inc. has released Workflow Manager, an interactive toolset extending the capabilities of the company's MassStore system. The company will showcase its new Workflow Manager that allows for mapping multistep workflows, which control content lifecycle management, at IBC2006.
MassStore is an end-to-end archive and asset management solution. Workflow Manager gives MassStore users a tool to create data paths that automatically move and/or transcode content to any location or format. The company said end points include ingest and on-air video servers, tape archives, a variety of nonlinear editing environments and the newsroom. The tool doesn't limit the number of different data paths users can design and implement.
