Kramer Electronics Now Providing CAD Files

Kramer Electronics Ltd. is now providing access to DXF (Data Exchange Format) files of every product in both the Kramer and Sierra Video catalogs.

Access to these files will allow customers and integrators to easily create rack elevations and to place Kramer and Sierra products in signal flow and wiring diagrams. Each of the CAD blocks provides detailed product information and shows input, output and control connector types.

"Creating this exhaustive resource and making it widely available to our customers will both simplify and accelerate the design and implementation of new A/V systems," said Chris Kopin, Kramer's vice president of product development. "With access to the DXF drawing and block diagram images from our Web site, our customers can download the appropriate detailed CAD drawing they require and drop it directly into their plans."

The files may also be used to support technical support efforts and product sales by providing a visual representation of product features and cabling requirements.

The Kramer DXF drawing library can be accessed by using a drop down list on the company's downloads tab online.
