Avid announced this week that it is now shipping iNEWS Instinct, unveiled at NAB2005.
Journalist-friendly Instinct allows reporters and newsroom staff to create ready-to-air news segments including text and video footage without the need for an NLE application.
With iNEWS Instinct, users have access to all content in an Avid digital news production environment to develop stories with text, video and audio voiceovers and they can then send stories to a news editor for finishing. The desktop workspace includes a flexible script and video story assembler, a video monitoring window, access to the newsroom database and research query and results displays. Users can build stories with text or video, adjust audio and timing and submit rough sequences to craft editors for completion or play sequences directly to air.
