ViewCast has released the Niagara GoStream Plus, a portable streaming media encoder designed to facilitate video capture and streaming for mobile and IPTV applications. It allows users to encode multiple formats and resolutions simultaneously.
Providing advanced D1-resolution encoding, the GoStream Plus features three EZStream buttons on the front panel, letting users select from predefined encoding profiles. From a front-panel interface, the EASE menu system provides a complete set of controls for local, basic encode/setup, including real-time control of multiple encoder sessions and feedback on system performance, as well as direct-access for system configuration. Also included in the system is the Niagara SCX remote encoder management software, which uses a Web-based user interface for the creation and editing of custom encoding profiles, GoStream configuration and checking activity and alert logs. Users can export files to storage devices and view video on a handheld device via device dock on the front panel.
