Todd-AO Hollywood adds Teaney and Engle to staff

Award-winning sound re-recording mixer Ken Teaney has joined Todd-AO Hollywood, where he will team with re-recording mixer Lisle Engle to focus primarily on episodic TV projects, the fastest growing segment of the facility’s business. They are currently handling audio post work for the ABC series “Men in Trees” and for TBS’ “My Boys.” Recordist Richard Camara is assisting the pair. The team represents the latest move in the ongoing expansion of Todd‑AO Hollywood. The facility has recently implemented a number of technical upgrades to facilitate its growing roster of TV clients.

Teaney formerly held a staff post at Wilshire Stages and brings a long list of credits in television, feature films, commercials and other media. He has won an Emmy, Clio and CAS awards. Engle comes to Todd-AO Hollywood from the company’s Burbank facility, where he recently worked on the series “Alias” and “Without A Trace.” He has a background in feature films as a sound effects editor and is a songwriter and musician, having begun his career in the recording industry.

Teaney and Engle will work out of a newly remodeled mixing and screening stage equipped with a Digidesign ProTools digital audio workstation and ProControl digital mixing console. The stage also has access to the Soundelux sound library of more than 320,000 sound effects.
