The Film and Television University of Babelsberg, Germany, inaugurated its redesigned sound mixing theatre in April 2005 with the installation of a new 96-channel Harrison MPC4-D digital mixing console.
The console is equipped with a digital tools card (DTC) utilizing 32 individual look-ahead bus limiters and eight DSPs that can be loaded with Harrison film-specific plug-ins. Internally, the DTC works with Harrison’s 40-bit floating point Wide Pipe digital engine processing.
The university’s relocation to a renovated building in 2000 resulted in an expansion of the two mixing theatres and two screening facilities designed according to the THX standard.
