smartSNG at heart of major U.S. broadcast deal

ND SatCom announced last week that a U.S. broadcaster has made a significant commitment to the company’s smartSNG broadcast workflow automation solution.

During the first phase of the project to be completed this year, the broadcaster will acquire 12 SNG vehicles equipped with smartSNG. According to ND SatCom, the figure could grow to an additional 100 units over the next five years. ND SatCom also is providing a complete media network solution linking together the customer's 10 owned and operated TV stations with the SNG vehicles.

Starting with the newsroom, smartSNG automates and streamlines SNG operations, such as the planning and booking of production resources at remote and mobile sites. It also makes it easier to book uplink equipment and satellite transponder capacity and the control all equipment online.
