ScheduALL, WBU-ISOG to work on metadata standardization
By TVTechnology published
ScheduALL has been invited by the World Broadcasting Unions’ (WBU) International Satellite Operations Group (ISOG) to work closely with them to investigate the feasibility of integrating their metadata set for international broadcast contribution program exchange into the ScheduALL application.
Following a presentation by Scheduall last May, both parties agreed that it would continue to work together to determine how ISOG’s metatags could be incorporated into the ScheduALL application structure.
The work is focusing on a vision of how transmission-booking systems could communicate and exchange data using a standard data framework. Information can be tagged, and using the agreed data framework (the EBU’s P_Meta protocol), disparate systems could send or receive relevant information that would be standard, regardless of application.
