The San Diego Padres are using the Nucomm CamPac to cover sponsored elements between innings, for the pre-game show, and for game coverage as an adjunct camera to their four triax cameras.
The CamPac offers a low delay (less than 100ms) and 250mW output power. This gives the Padres video team enough signal to get coverage in virtually every part of the park. Coverage is also possible on every floor of the Western Metal Supply Co. building in left field. The receiver is outside the control room, behind home plate on the terrace level, and is outfitted with a 6.5dB omni-directional antenna. The transmitter is equipped with a 4.5dB omni.
