Ranks of DTV broadcasters swell to cover 99.69 percent of households

Fifty-nine TV stations have joined the ranks of digital broadcasters, bringing the total number of over-the-air DTV stations to 1292 in 207 markets, serving 99.69 percent of U.S. TV households, according to the NAB.

Additionally, 87.54 percent of the more than 106 million U.S. TV households are in markets with five or more broadcasters airing DTV, and 69.23 percent are in markets with eight or more broadcasters sending digital signals.

There are 44 markets where all of the broadcasters are on air in DTV.
