PUMA TV selects Thales transmitters for new network

Thales’ ULTIMATE air-cooled, solid-state transmitter features broadband technology.
PUMA TV has selected Thales Broadcast & Multimedia to supply 12 ULTIMATE Series medium- and high-powered solid-state transmitters for the creation of a new Venezuelan TV network.
The project, worth more than $1 million, includes full transmitter systems with associated feed line and antenna systems. The systems will be used countrywide in Caracas, Maracaibo, Barquisimeto, Puerto La Cruz, Puerto Ordaz, El Volcan, Maturin, Barinas, Acarigua, Carabobo, and Puerto Cabello. The first four transmitters are expected to be on air by September.
Thales’ ULTIMATE air-cooled, solid-state transmitter features broadband technology allowing operation on any UHF channel in Band IV and V. They offer outstanding technical performance and reliability. The transmitter includes an LDMOS broadband amplifier.
