Los Angeles-based Coptervision and Patriot Antenna in Albion, MI, have formed a new company 1-Advanced Technologies (1-AT) to manufacture 6ft-long helicopter systems for use in unmanned aerial vehicle applications.
The company will offer a line of sight (LOS) system and a fully autonomous GPS-based flight system that uses predetermined way points for the UAV to follow before returning to base.
Each helicopter system can take real-time, broadcast-quality video from 20ft to more than 10,000ft. The systems are equipped with night vision and thermal imaging and can travel at speeds up to 75mph.
