The VC70 gives the broadcast engineer the ability to see the signal before it appears on the signal meter.
Broadcast engineers monitoring the performance of their digital transmissions face a challenge unknown in the analog domain, namely the cliff effect where their signal is either present or not.
Morrow Technologies offers the VC70 spectrum analyzer as a solution for DTV monitoring.
The VC70 gives the broadcast engineer the ability to see the signal before it appears on the signal meter. This allows engineers at the control center or at any other location with access to the organization’s IP, to assist field technicians with optimal transmitter positioning. During ENG operations, the VC70 can monitor the signal strength, alerting the control center to signal attenuation and interference. Any problems during COFDM operation, whether due to multi-path interference or because the antenna LNA is overdriven, can easily be found and corrected.
The VC70, designed to cover a focused frequency range of 60MHz to 80MHz, is a full-featured analyzer, measuring just 10in by 8.75in by 2.312in. It weighs less than 5lb. It features Morrow’s Virtual Front Panel software, which enables users to view and control the analyzer from any location in real time via Ethernet, modem or wireless modem connection.
