Latest UDcast IP encapsulator integrates MIP insertion

UDcast unveiled at Broadcast Asia 2007 its latest DVB-H IP encapsulator, which features integrated Megaframe Initialization Packet (MIP) insertion. Integrating MIP insertion reduces the number of hardware components needed in the headend.

The MIP inserter coordinates the synchronized and simultaneous operation of all transmitters within a single frequency network to ensure good quality of coverage across large areas, both indoors and outdoors. UDcast integrated the MIP inserter with the encapsulator to reduce the number of hardware components, cables and antennas in the headend space, increasing the robustness and efficiency of the DVB-H network infrastructure.
