Dynacord launches Power H series amps

Dynacord recently unveiled the new Power H series amplifiers, notable for its ability to pack a lot of power and performance into a compact, lightweight chassis. The new series, comprised of the H 2500 and H 5000 models, was designed to meet uncompromising standards of power, performance, and reliability.

With both channels being driven, the Power H 5000 delivers 3500 watts per channel at 2 ohms (2500 at 2 ohms, 1500 at 8 ohms). The H 2500 delivers 2000 watts at 2 ohms (1250 at 4 ohms, 700 at 8 ohms). Both amplifiers are 2RU in height and weigh in at less than 33 pounds, with an auto-switching power supply that can operate on systems of 100- to 250V, 50 to 60 watts. Reliability features include user selectable mains current supervision and Dynacord’s new compound Thermal Management system to ensure uninterrupted service. The Class H, 3-stage output topology assures the low distortion.

Power H amps also feature a front panel work surface with an LCD screen for menu-based system setup and diagnostics. When paired with the RCM 26 module, the Power H series become remote-capable. The RCM 26 includes AES/EBU digital audio inputs standard and a CAN bus network adapter for transport of supervision data. The RCM 26 audio quality is unequalled with a dynamic range of 116dB, and uses high quality, 48 bit/ 96kHz converters. All DSP functions are handled by 300 MIPS of processing power. An industry first, the DSP functions available on the RCM 26 include Linear-Phase, Brick Wall FIR crossovers and Zero-Latency FIR magnitude equalization, on top of all standard speaker processing blocks.
