Calrec Audio has announced that Dome Productions has purchased its third Alpha digital console. The 72-fader board was installed in Dome’s latest HD production unit, Trillium, which hit the road April 1 capturing entertainment and sports programs for such clients as TSN, Rogers Sportsnet and ESPN.
The Alpha was selected for its intuitive setup, flexibility between broadcast formats, and on-board monitoring, all optimized for live event production. Dome Productions also cited both client and operator satisfaction with the company’s other two Calrec Alphas.
The Calrec Alpha digital console features up to 96 faders with A and B levels of control and four dedicated main output faders. All channels have four-band EQ, two-band filters, and a compressor/limiter and expander/gate. All Calrec digital consoles are assignable, enabling direct access to the majority of the functions and minimizing screen usage.
