Captors release tape of kidnapped Fox News journalists

A previously unknown group identifying itself as the Holy Jihad Brigades has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of Fox News correspondent Steve Centanni, 60, and freelance cameraman Olaf Wiig, 36.

The group sent a videotape to al-Jazeera showing the pair, who described themselves as being in “fairly good health.” The Holy Jihad Brigades also faxed to various news agencies its demand that the United States release Muslim prisoners within 72 hours.

On Aug. 14, Centanni, Wiig and an interpreter were kidnapped from their news vehicle near the Palestinian security service headquarters in Gaza City. Later, the abductors set the interpreter free.
