Bosch invests in Dynacord, Electro-Voice facilities

In the same financial quarter in which Bosch completed its acquisition of Telex Communications (resulting in the formation of Bosch Communications Systems), the parent company has announced substantial cash investments in two of its new manufacturing facilities. The affected locations are Dynacord's Straubing, Germany, factory and the Electro-Voice manufacturing plant in Morrilton, Arkansas.

The investment in Dynacord's German headquarters will allow construction of an additional 43,000sq ft of production space, 9600sq ft of office space and a new 64,500sq-ft warehouse. In addition, a 6400sq-ft area will serve as a sound stage for audio testing and measurement.

At the Electro-Voice facility in Morrilton, Bosch's more than $2 million investment is intended to improve throughput capability, build times and production precision, with investments going into the plant's wood mill and transducer production lines. Improvements will include CNC routers, high-energy magnetizers, automated adhesive dispensing and numerous tooling upgrades.
