The Studer Vista 8 digital audio mixing console
TCI, BBC Resources’ television station in London, recently installed one of the largest digital mixers ever built by Studer — a 72-fader Vista 8 audio production console with 516 inputs on a customized L-shaped work surface.
The system, prefabricated at IPE systems integrators, was used on its first productions in September. This is the second Vista 8 for the BBC.
The Vista 8 console, which is fully equipped for 5.1 surround sound working and dynamic automation, is currently being used on a wide range of European TV programs and will be used on an upcoming telethon.
