Chip maker Zoran announced, and demonstrated at CES its new SupraHD family of HDTV processors. Integrated functions include ATSC reception, video decoding, HDMI (high definition multimedia interface) receiver, IEEE 1394 interface, audio DAC, and a video processing engine that can control and directly drive LCD and other advanced HDTV displays. This high level of integration is said to reduce costs for HDTV receiver manufacturers.
