WFTS-TV, the E. W. Scripps Company ABC affiliate in Tampa, FL, began offering its “ABC Action News” in HD July 28.
All “ABC Action News” newscasts are now being produced and transmitted in HD. According to station director of engineering Jack Winter, an ambitious conversion of its news studio and control room put the HD newscast on the air.
WFTS-TV’s sister station WFTV in Orlando already broadcasts its local news in HD.
