ABC affiliate WCVB shot a promo in HD to highlight "ABC World News Tonight" and the station's local evening news with Ikegami HDL-V90 HD cameras, which captured Peter Jennings' visit to to the Boston station.
The HDL-V90 HD camera is an integrated DVCPRO HD digital camera that uses 2.2 million pixel 1080i CCDs and has a 12-bit A-D converter
For ENG/EFP shooting in SD, WCVB also uses 21 Ikegami HL-DV7W DVCAM digital cameras. It has 520,000 pixel IT CCDs and 16:9/4:3 switchability, +48dB Hyper Gain for low light conditions, scene and lens files, Smart Media memory card, Super V vertical resolution and a hi-res viewfinder.
The cameras are affixed to Canon HJ 11 x 4.7B IRSD and Canon J 21 x 7.8B IRSD lenses.
