Belgian commercial channel VTM has chosen the newly launched Ross Video Vision production switchers for its HD facility. VTM will be one of the first mainland Europe broadcasters to purchase Vision.
The two Vision 4 MD-X switchers will be used for live productions, including “Dancing with the Stars,” “Dancing on Ice” and “Idols.” Installation is expected to be complete by the end of 2007.
The Vision series is Ross Video’s next-generation multidefinition production switcher, which handles SD and HD formats. The five new models, ranging from one to four M/Es, include: the Vision 1 MD, Vision 2 MD, Vision 2 MD-X, Vision 3 MD-X and Vision 4 MD-X.
