VTG debuts portable A/V snake at NAB2004

VTG, a manufacturer of audio and video interfacing and cable equipment, introduced its new cable reel, the A/V snake, at NAB2004.

The A/V Snake has an all-welded steel frame with four 3-inch locking casters on the bottom, making it fully portable.

Horizon Music, Rapco International and VTG Broadcast Group will distribute the portable A/V snake. The portable reel has one flexible cable that contains four balanced audio lines and six 75ohm video lines, and can be adapted for many different uses.

The A/V Snake has an all-welded steel frame with four 3-inch locking casters on the bottom, making it fully portable. The four balanced audio lines are 24-gauge cable and are useful when running microphones, instruments or any other balanced audio line to a mixing board. The six video lines are video component type cable and can be used for projectors, monitors or any other video display. These features make the A/V Snake an all-in-one cabling solution.

The snake features a natural coil action, which eliminates the possibility of any kinks, snags or tangles. The user can determine the length of cable needed based upon the size of the venue.

Key features and specifications of the A/V snake include:

  • 100-inch or 150-inch overall cable length
  • Portable integrated snake reel with casters to a fan
  • 4 XLR or 4 TRS ¼” audio lines and 6 BNC video lines
  • Sturdy all-welded steel frame
  • Adjust the cable to any length
  • Custom specifications and designs available
