CCTV.com deployed ViewCast Osprey-530 digital video capture cards with SimulStream technology for live streaming of the Summer Games across China.
A longtime user of Osprey-530 cards for mobile streaming applications, CCTV.com deployed additional cards for its Olympic coverage. Each Olympic event had a dedicated Osprey-530 card, which took the live video feed from the broadcast and processed it for encoding in common streaming formats for Internet and wireless users.
The Osprey-530s were supplied by EZY-Tech, a ViewCast master distributor for Hong Kong and mainland China.
