Video Design Software's DigiSnap delivers logo insertion solution up-, downstream of master control

With its built-in SDI/O, active video bypass, and multiple GPIs, DigiSnap can be used upstream or downstream of master control.

Video Design Software has released DigiSnap, an advanced network logo inserter system designed specifically for live programming.

With its built-in SDI/O, active video bypass, and multiple GPIs, DigiSnap can be used upstream or downstream of master control. By adding the digital audio output option, DigiSnap meets the requirements of branding, sponsor and promotional applications.

DigiSnap consists of three major authoring and playback components:

  • DigiAuthor, a Windows-based content creation module that runs on any computer networked to one or more DigiSnap units. DigiAuthor is used to create logos, generate text, import cell animations and group them into shows.
  • DigiPlay, a client software module that can manage and operate the DigiSnap Server.
  • DigiSnap Server, a stand-alone PC server (1RU or 2RU) fitted with a Chyron Digital PC-CODI and an optional Audio Card running the DigiSnap Server application and DigiPlay management software.
