TV One unveils 3G-SDI multiviewer

TV One has released a new four-window, 3G-SDI processor, CORIOview C2-6204, for mobile sports production. The unit is housed in 1RU with rack-mount ears provided for easy installation and powered from a standard 110V-240V supply

The C2-6204, when used on its own, provides four 3G-SDI inputs that allow users to place up to four windows of any size in any position on one screen. Each window is powered by its own internal CORIO scaling engine, providing full picture-in-picture capability. A fifth DVI input is also available and can be used as another full-size and unscaled background image. Alternatively, this fifth input can be used to cascade multiple CORIOview Multiviewers together, adding four more windows per unit. It has a DVI-I output as well as a duplicate 3G-SDI capable output.

Each window can have audio bars present, showing the activity of any audio in the SDI source signal. Up to four stereo audio bars may be displayed in each window with different colors showing activity at certain amplitudes of signal. Colored borders and source labeling are also provided for each window, and 50 user-defined presets (controllable directly from the front panel as well as external communications) allow for the quick recall of customized settings for various applications. Nonvolatile memory ensures that all settings stored by the user are retained even when the power is switched off. Four still image stores are built into the C2-6204, which can display one of 10 user-loadable images, stored in flash memory, in place of an input.

The unit supports 3G-SDI resolutions up to 1080p60, along with DVI-D resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz and 1080p and DVI-A (RGBHV/YUV/YPbPr) resolutions up to 2048 x 2048 at virtually any refresh rate. High-performance deinterlacing with motion-adaptive noise reduction is available for interlaced sources. All four window inputs can be scaled to match any of the formats and resolutions. Also, custom resolutions can be added quickly and easily using software available from TV One.
