True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd. Installs DNF Slo-Mo

The owner of the Manitoba Moose hockey team, True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd., has purchased and installed DNF Controls slow-motion controllers at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The two ST300-DSR1K-T controllers will be used to provide quick and precise control of the four Sony DSR-DR1000 DVCAM hard-disk recorders used at the facility.

"DNF's ST300-DSR1K-T and our Sony recorders provide a powerful, simple package with exceptional flexibility for presenting highlights and replays, allowing us to deliver a dynamic visual production to Moose fans," said Bill Coward, manager of audio visual services, True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd.

The controllers provide operators with VTR-like control for easy of use in creating instant replays of the action on ice.

The MTS Centre is a 15,000-seat entertainment, performing arts, sports and community events facility, with the Manitoba Moose as the primary tenant. The Moose is an American Hockey League affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks.
