Yahoo! TV and TiVo announced a deal this week to allow TiVo and Yahoo! TV subscribers to remotely program their DVRs via the Web.
Subscribers with a TiVo Series2 box and a standard Yahoo! user ID can program their TiVos anywhere they can access their Yahoo! account. From any Yahoo! TV episode page, users click "Record to my TiVo box," and the request is then sent to the TiVo box and will be ready to go the next time the TiVo connects.
Yahoo! TV offers entertainment information such as show times, program descriptions and cast photographs, working with partners, "Entertainment Tonight."
Together, TiVo and Yahoo! will offer some Yahoo! services, including photos, traffic and weather as part of the TiVo service.
