Time Warner Cable tests new Pace HD set-top box

Time Warner Cable is testing the Pace DC-550 HD digital cable set-top in several locations throughout its service area to validate, they said, that the units are ready for consumer use. Time Warner Cable is the first cable operator to field trial the DC-550 HD STB.
Neil Gaydon, president of Pace Micro Technology Americas, said that the DC-550 HD includes improved processor speeds and circuit board level storage capacity to support cable-delivered VOD and HDTV.
