Thomson receives $5 million order from NBC

NBC has ordered an additional $5 million of Grass Valley digital production equipment.
Grass Valley equipment is being implemented at several of NBC stations in the U.S. In addition to these facilities, Grass Valley digital storage and news equipment installed at CNBC and multiple NBC television stations include multiple networked Profile XP Media Platform servers, dozens of NewsEdit XT nonlinear editing systems and a multichannel Grass Valley Open SAN shared storage digital infrastructure that connects various NBC facilities throughout the country.
The Grass Valley DNPS family includes the NewsEdit XT nonlinear editor; NewsEdit LT laptop-based nonlinear editor; NewsEdit SC software-based nonlinear editor; FeedClip interactive feed capture system; NewsQ manual playback system; NewsQ Pro automated news playback system; NewsBrowse web-based browser/editor; Grass Valley Network Attached Storage (NAS) system; Grass Valley Open SAN System; Profile XP Media Platform; Profile Network Archive; and ContentShare platform for open information access/exchange.
