The National Hockey League and Synacor announced an extension of their partnership in offering premium online services content for the 2007-2008 NHL season.
The NHL Premium Video and Game Notes package offers users online game summary videos, pre-game profiles, post-game summaries and more through service providers’ online portal homepage. Consumers access the content via Synacor’s single sign-on technology that allows one sign-on for portal and premium content.
The NHL provides the package, through its partnership with Synacor, to service providers, who then offer it to high-speed data customers during the regular NHL season, playoffs and Stanley Cup.
As a promotion, some NHL content will be available to select clients for use on their homepages for the remainder of the 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
