Sunshine Network, Miami HEAT enter new multi-year telecast agreement
The Miami HEAT and the Sunshine Network, a Fox-owned regional sports network, have announced a new long-term agreement providing Sunshine exclusive regional television rights to the NBA franchise. This agreement extends the existing relationship the two began more than a decade ago.
The new agreement, effective at the start of the 2004-2005 NBA season, provides Sunshine Network with telecast rights in all languages to a minimum of 70 Miami HEAT regular season games (up from 46 this season), and all available HEAT playoff games.
Nalevansky selects AJ-SDX900 as primary camera for fourth season of Beyond the Glory
Cinematographer Josef Nalevansky recently purchased Panasonic’s AJ-SDX900 DVCPRO Cinema camcorder and is using it as the primary camera for "Beyond the Glory", Fox Sports Network’s critically-acclaimed contemporary documentary series.
The fourth season for "Beyond the Glory", FSN’s highest-rated weekly show, debuted March 14 and will feature original programs throughout 2004. The AJ-SDX900 is being used to capture unique footage of athletes in their off-the-playing-field milieus. The show also features archived video, on-camera interviews and player histories.
"Beyond the Glory" is a production of Red Skies Entertainment in Los Angeles where Nalevansky is creative director.

World Wrestling Entertainment to launch WWE 24/7 video on-demand service
World Wrestling Entertainment has launched WWE 24/7, a subscription video-on-demand service. Drawing on content from pay-per-view events, syndicated broadcast and cable shows, home videos and original productions, the service will be marketed by WWE Enterprises, a new in-house business development unit. WWE Enterprises will work with MSOs, satellite providers and affiliates to package and cross-promote the new venture.
WWE 24/7 is part of a plan use the company's 75,000 hours of existing programming to create new business opportunities.

Turkish stadium installs router as part of production facility for new 24/7 channel
Turkish soccer club Fenerbahce has installed a Quartz router system at the Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium to assist in production of its new 24/7 TV Channel, FBTV (Fenerbahce Television).
The stadium is becoming one of Europe's elite soccer arenas, recently upgrading its facilities with the addition of a high-tech TV facility. The club installed a Quartz SDI router and corresponding stereo audio router with various control panels through Quartz Turkish distributor Basari Elektronik.

Time Warner to distribute College Sports Television programming
College Sports Television, an independent cable network specializing in 24-hour college sports coverage, and Time Warner Cable have reached a nationwide carriage agreement. Time Warner will make CSTV available to its systems for carriage. CSTV will also provide Time Warner with content for video on demand use.
Since its launch a year ago, CSTV has televised 3500 hours of original programming, including men’s and women’s NCAA and NAIA college sports.
