Telestream announces new partners and products at NAB2004

At NAB2004, Telestream announced an increased number of new partnership alliances, 22 partners integrating Telestream products in its NAB demonstrations, and several new products and features.


Telestream’s newly launched MAPone is now being incorporated into both Avid and Thomson laptop editing systems.

The company announced new partnerships with the following companies which have integrated Telestream products into their offerings for resale. Blue Order, a global provider of media asset management solutions; Grand Vitesse integrates FlipFactory with its storage-for-broadcast systems; MediaBeacon offers an asset management solution that now integrates FlipFactory transcoding technology; and BitCentral featured FlipFactory transcoding for its news delivery service.

In addition, the Associated Press ENPS group is marketing FlipFactory automated transcoding/delivery from SnapFeed onto a news server; Aspera has partnered with Telestream to boost transfer speeds for Telestream ClipMail appliances; and NVerzion has added FlipFactory to its storage solutions.

Telestream’s FlipFactory transcoding automation device supports new formats, providing interoperability between legacy systems and enabling tapeless digital media workflows. At NAB2004, FlipFactory was shown with expanded media server support for Pinnacle MediaStream, Omneon Content and Director servers, and Leitch's NEXIO. Telestream said it continues to support the new MXF file interchange standard along with support for the Sony XDCAM, eVTR and MAV2000 video servers.
