St. Louis Blues installs LED scoring and entertainment system

St. Louis Blues fans attending NHL games at the Scottrade Center this season will view a multimillion-dollar upgraded scoring, video and advertising display system. The LED technology, provided by Daktronics, includes a new center-hung scoreboard and 360-degree fascia display surrounding the seating bowl.

The scoreboard incorporates HD-ready ProStar LED pixels on 10mm (.39in) center-to-center spacing. Each of the four main video displays measures approximately 9.5ft by 16ft, with a similar aspect ratio to HDTV. Above the scoreboard are eight additional full-color 7ft by 12ft LED displays, with pixels on 20mm (.78in) spacing, used primarily to show period time, scores, stats and other information, as well as sponsor messages. A decorative structure separates the top level of displays from the four main video screens, and highlights the new name of the facility. Four additional ProAd digital displays are positioned below the main video screens, each approximately 2.3ft by 16ft with 20mm pixels.
