SkyStream Networks, a developer of advanced video networking equipment, has secured private funding from key strategic investors, including Comcast Interactive Capital, AOL Time Warner, Shaw Communications and Amerindo Investment Advisors, Inc. This additional funding brings the total to $29 million, which will be used to bolster product development, particularly the company's Mediaplex Video Services Router.
Mediaplex is a digital video headend that features a Gigabit Ethernet-based switching architecture, enabling service providers to deliver on-demand and interactive video services to the home.
