Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBG) has awarded AZCAR Technologies the contract to rebuild four of its group television stations. The projects are part of SBG’s expansion of its NewsCentral corporate news production initiative, and include the installation of digital equipment for master control for two of the stations.

During the first and second quarters, AZCAR will install systems at WUHF (Rochester), WLFL (Raleigh), KOKH (Oklahoma City), and WBFF (Baltimore). AZCAR and Sinclair chose a package of equipment including Grass Valley cameras, Zodiak production switchers, and Concerto routers; as well as Miranda/Oxtel ImageStore/PresMaster master control solutions.

Work is underway, with the first of the stations due to be on the air in early March
