Broadband Services, a provider of integrated asset management and logistics services for the communications industry, has announced an agreement with Shaw Communications for the initial deployment of BSI’s “CPEase” digital set-top box (STB) life-cycle management service.
Under the agreement, Broadband Services will leverage its business processes support and its information technology systems to provide Shaw with complete visibility and management of existing and new digital STBs deployed to more than 488,000 Shaw digital cable subscribers.
CPEase combines BSI’s IT platform, business process support services and logistics infrastructure to provide operators with a full suite of CPE life-cycle management activities, from stocking of new inventory to equipment recovery, cleaning and screening, redistribution, and warranty tracking.
